O’Day drives to work on Solowheel
Orioles reliever Darren O’Day is a self-proclaimed tech geek. One would know this the second they see him rolling around the streets of Baltimore on his Solowheel device, commuting to Camden Yards.
Instead of driving - he experiences 45 minutes of traffic at times on game-day - or even biking, he invested in the Solowheel as his preferred method of transportation.
As the Wall Street Journal pointed out in a recent story about O’Day, many relievers have their quirks: Brian Wilson and his beard, Rollie Fingers and his mustache, and John Axford, the modern-day Fingers. O’Day, however, has managed to stay current and futuristic with his vehicular oddity.
